The Rock Island Cycle Trail is currently being developed as a joint planning project between IIT Institute of Design and the Beverly Improvement Association (BIA), with grant support from the US Federal Government and the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT).

Jeremy holds both Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Design degrees from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He has spent his professional career leading interdisciplinary teams tasked with defining next generation products, services, and business models for clients including Unilever, Motorola, Citibank, Pfizer, American Express, and Target Corporation.

After receiving his degree in Architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology, Kyle switched to the field of Design to focus on Strategic Planning. Kyle grew up in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, near the Lake Country Recreation Trail, a beautiful 8-mile cycle/pedestrian pathway.  He hopes to bring a safe, scenic greenway to Chicago’s South Side.

Russell has enjoyed bicycling while living on both coasts and last year brought his cycling enthusiasm to Chicago to pursue a Master of Design at IIT’s Institute of Design.  He enjoys his daily bike commute to ID from Pilsen, where he lives with his wife.

Gene, a Chicago native and IIT Institute of Design alumnus, has worked on city-related projects involving New Homes for Chicago and the Richard J. Daley Global Cities Forum. Gene has also studied in Beijing, biking 8 miles through city traffic. He currently lives in Hyde Park, close to a Metra station and the Lakefront Trail.

An avid cyclist and executive of the 7th Judicial Circuit, Collins has been an advocate for a cycle/pedestrian pathway along the Rock Island Metra Line for several years. Collins, 66, who bikes thirteen miles to court in downtown Chicago, envisions a trail for both recreational and commuter bicyclists linking Chicago and the southwest suburbs.
